Golf Range Opening
This year Arenaturist enters the peak of the season with the new product which will enrich the existing touristic offer to satisfaction of our guests and local community. Golf Range Verudela, golf training court, which will function as a part of Sport Centre Verudela is located at Park Plaza Verudela resort, in the vicinity of Arenaturist’s hotels Park Plaza Histria and Park Plaza Arena.
This new Arenaturist sport attraction is designed for the guests who are interested in spending active holidays and getting involved in golf activities as well as for those who would like to be introduced to golf activities by our trained instructors.
Conceptual design and execution of the project was done by Sport Concept from Zagreb. Most advanced materials, such as famous Italian brand of artificial grass designed for golf courses named Limonta, were used for the realization of this project. Value of the investment is 1 million Kuna.
Golf Range Verudela is designed to cover all elements of the professional golf course and on which all shots and situations from real golf courses can be simulated. It covers the area of 1.000 m2 and includes the following golf elements:
- “Putting green” – 300 m2 with 9 holes
- 2 “Green side bunkers”
- “Chipping green” training court
- 6 cages for shots exercise
Also, guests have on their disposal professional Dunlop and US Kids Golf equipment. Moreover, sets of golf clubs are designed for different age groups, genders and well as for left handed and right handed players. Every set contains:
- PW (Pitching Wedge) Dunlop
- Driver Dunlop
- Putter Dunlop
- 7 Iron Dunlop
The official opening ceremony was held on 5th of July in the presence of Arenaturist Management, Tourist Boards of Pula and Medulin, regional sports associations and the representatives of Sport Concept from Zagreb.
During the opening ceremony, attendees had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with all the elements of the Golf Range with special assistance of Mr. Bogdan Palovšnik, who is professional golf player and instructor and main secretary of PGA Slovenia.
Golf Range Verudela will remain open all the year round and as such will enhance the diversity of the offer for the guests of Park Plaza Verudela and all people from Pula and Istria.
