At the far edge of Verudela, landscaped promenades give way to a rockier and wilder Adriatic shoreline. Here, only 15 metres from Arena Verudela Beach, one of Pula’s most atmospheric swimming spots lies beneath a working historic lighthouse.

Lighthouse Beach is not the easiest beach on Verudela to enter, and that is part of its appeal.

At first, the name may sound surprising, but one of Pula's most famous beaches is known as Hawaiian Beach. The reason is simple: its turquoise sea, dramatic natural cliffs and exotic scenery evoke images of tropical islands, earning it the nickname that has remained to this day.

Hawaiian Beach is one of the most photographed beaches in Istria. Its combination of crystal clear waters, unspoilt nature and Mediterranean surroundings makes it a favourite destination for swimming, relaxing and enjoying long summer days.

Every summer, Pula becomes the stage for one of the most renowned film events in this part of Europe. Held in the historic Roman Arena, the Pula Film Festival combines world class cinema, rich history and a unique atmosphere that is hard to find anywhere else.

At Verudela Avenue, local artists, craftsmen and creatives present their work: from jewellery, ceramics and textiles to natural cosmetics, artworks and local products such as liqueurs and honey. This is not just a market, but an experience that connects people, stories and tradition.
