Arena Hospitality Group Supports Oncology Care with Donation to the General Hospital Pula
On April 2nd, 2026, a formal handover ceremony was held at the General Hospital Pula, marking the donation of therapeutic chairs and infusion pumps for chemotherapy treatment. The equipment is intended for the Day-care Hospital of the Department of Internal Oncology with Hematology, directly enhancing the quality and safety of care for patients.
The donation was made with the support of Arena Hospitality Group in collaboration with Pula League Against Cancer. Funds were raised through the humanitarian initiative “Bearded Charity Auction”.
During the ceremony, Manuela Kraljević, Director at Arena Hospitality Group, highlighted the company’s long-standing partnership with the hospital. She reflected on a series of meaningful contributions over the years, including support during the hospital’s early development, significant donations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, assistance to the pediatric department, and the recent mural project at the entrance to the dialysis unit. The latest donation to the oncology department, she noted, represents a continuation of this enduring commitment.
A notable contribution came from Arena Hospitality Group employees, who raised more than €5,000 through a raffle held at the company’s staff party. The company matched this amount, collectively securing over one-third of the total funds raised during the November 2025 “Bearded Charity Auction” campaign.
Dr. Andrej Angelini, Director of the General Hospital Pula, emphasized the importance of such initiatives, noting that partnerships between the business sector, associations, and the wider community are key to achieving tangible and lasting benefits. He added that the new equipment significantly improves patient comfort and safety, while also facilitating the daily work of healthcare professionals.
Arena Hospitality Group expressed pride in being part of this humanitarian initiative and reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to improved healthcare and quality of life within the local community.
