World recognition for responsible tourism

Arena Hospitality Group received recognition from the worldwide organization Responsible Tourism Partnership for taking responsibility and addressing the challenges of Covid-19 at this year's WTM in London.

This November, for the first time in history, the World Travel Market was held virtually, during which the WTM Responsible Tourism Awards of the Responsible Tourism Partnership were awarded.

Arena Hospitality Group is one of the companies, institutions, destinations and individuals from around the world that have received recognition this year for showing the responsibility in tourism management during the pandemic. The Responsible Tourism Partnership emphasizes that they wanted to recognise those who have taken responsibility and addressed the many challenges while helping others cope with the pandemic.

Our company has received recognition in the Neighbours and Employees category for the activities towards the local community and the local health system. During March, April and May, immediately after the crisis arose, we undertook a series of activities to help our local community cope with the new circumstances:

  • co-financing the purchase of UVDI-360 Room Sanitizer for Pula General Hospital and donating LCD TVs for patients;
  • preparing 100 lunch packages a day for more than two months for local hospital staff;
  • assisting in the preparation and cleaning of new hospital spaces for over a month.

We are proud that our efforts have been recognized at the WTM. We would like to once again thank all the members of our team who participated in these activities.
