Mediterranean funk arrives in Pula
Pula becomes a hub of Mediterranean groove this summer as Nu Genea, the Naples-based duo blending funk, disco, soul and 70s Italian pop, perform for the first time at the Small Roman Theatre on July 29, 2026.
Founded by Massimo Di Lena and Luciano Foglia, the project delivers a modern dance sound inspired by the southern Mediterranean. Their acclaimed album Bar Mediterraneo gained international recognition for its vibrant mix of European funk and Afro-Italian influences.
Known for rich live arrangements featuring a full band, Nu Genea create an atmosphere that moves between club energy and open-air performance. The evening also features Brazilian DJ Giu Nunez, bringing eclectic boogie and funk selections, and local act nemanja band, whose sound blends psych-funk, afrobeat and contemporary production.
Ticket availability is limited due to the unique venue capacity.
