The 59th Pula Regatta – Pula Sailing Week 2023
The second edition of the Pula Sailing Week, organized by the Uljanik Sailing Club, will unite three sailing regattas in the Pula harbor from Friday, April 28th to Sunday, April 30th. This sports-competitive program will connect the international trans-Adriatic race from Pesaro to Pula on the old route of the trabakul, the Student Regatta in the Laser Stratos class, and the traditional 59th Pula Regatta. The event will be part of the celebration of the City of Pula and will take place in the Pula harbor, with the Pula waterfront and Rijeka pier as gathering points.
The central event of this year's Pula Sailing Week will be the 59th edition of the traditional Pula Regatta, which will take place on Sunday, April 30th, 2023. This event will attract many domestic and foreign sailors. The Pula Regatta, specifically its 53rd edition in 2017, played a significant role in bringing sailing back to the Pula harbor, promoting sailing, and raising the profile of the city.
At the same time, the citizens of Pula are encouraged to participate in this year's sailing event by coming to Rijeka pier on Sunday, April 30th, at 10 am.
The program for the Pula Sailing Week 2023:
Friday, April 28th:
- Start of the race Pesaro > Pula in Pesaro
Saturday, April 29th:
- 9:00 am - Mooring of domestic and foreign boats at the waterfront and Rijeka pier
- 12:00 pm - Start of the Student Regatta in the Pula harbor
- 8:00 pm - Sailor's night at the Shipyard Pub (a social gathering with refreshments and drinks)
Sunday, April 30th:
- 8:30 am - Good morning with music, coffee, and strudel at the JKU stand
- 9:30 am - Skipper's meeting (final instructions for the regatta from the race committee at Rijeka pier)
- 11:00 am - Start of the 59th Pula Regatta
- 6:00 pm - Award ceremony and prize-giving at Rijeka pier.
