The Blue Flags have been raised for the 13th time in a row in front of the hotels of Arena Hospitality Group, hotel Park Plaza Histria and hotel Brioni, on the beaches Yacht, Brioni and Ambrela.

The Blue Flag for beaches and marines is an international environmental program for the protection of the sea and coastal areas, with the aim of sustainable management of the sea and coastline. This prestigious international ecological acknowledgment is assigned by the Foundation for Environmental Education - FEE from Copenhagen through the Association “Lijepom našom”, which is the national coordinator and leader of this project in Croatia.

The commemorative raising of the Blue Flag was held in the presence of the Mayor of Pula Boris Miletic, director of the Tourism office Pula Sanja Cinkopan and the management of Arena Hospitality Group represented by CEO Reli Slonim.

This year, the long-time guests of the hotel Park Plaza Histria, Shirley and Aurey Malton, had the honour to raise the flag and were assisted by Pula’s Mayor Boris Miletić.

Special guests, the actress and musician Mila Elegovic and the academic musician and songwriter Bruno Krajcar, performed their song "One Summer in Pula" and demonstrated their love for Pula as well as awareness of the importance of the protection of the sea and the coast.
